Post-Eclipse season, the area in our chart that contains Sagittarius might feel and look like wilderness — ever-changing, profoundly altered, barely recognizable, even, like a landscape rearranged by a natural phenomena outside human control. As the ground on which we systematize our beliefs and understanding of life moves and shifts like clay soil, so do all the morphological features of our inner landscape — where we place our faith, our compass and spatial awareness as we navigate the present, the directions in which we seek to expand.
Venus enters this space, today — this place of uncertainty and transition — and gilds it, adorns it, makes it sweeter to behold. In Sagittarius, our heavenly, illustrious, laughter-loving queen reminds us that there is an unexplainable thrill in re-wilding, pathfinding, growing a new heart — she, who rose from seafoam fertilized by severed limbs. And when it comes to Sagittarius, ruled by bountiful Jupiter, empty space is but an invitation to expansion.
While Venus travels the plains of Sagittarius, and especially as Jupiter itself transitions from Capricorn to Aquarius, picking up dignity and becoming able to negotiate with the Goddess of pleasure via a peaceable, sign-based sextile, she asks us to take pleasure in exploring every nook and cranny of this landscape and establish a new relationship with trust. Trust that divinely beautiful things can flourish in spaces hollowed out by longing and carved by separation. Especially when we open up to the possibility of it all, happening to us and for us.
Venus leaves Sagittarius for Capricorn on January 8, 2021.
